Gretchen Nealon studied with the Army Field Band.  She majored in music education in college, where she learned to play all of the standard woodwind and brass orchestral/band instruments, including the flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, and tuba. She put her knowledge to use while teaching band in public school for several years before switching to private instruction.

Gretchen uses a number of resources to teach woodwind and brass instruments.  Her instructional philosophy emphasizes flexibility and accuracy, with the ability to perform comfortably both alone and in an ensemble.
